roof repairWhen the need for commercial roofing repair arises, you want to find a commercial roofing contractor that is fast, reliable and performs high quality work. With over three decades in the industry, we know the ins and outs of flat roof care. There is a big difference between the sloped roofs on homes and the flat and low-sloped roofs found on commercial structures. We understand the unique challenges of these surfaces and can repair yours quickly.

Different Types of Commercial Roof Repair Services
We specialize in single ply roofing materials, metal and roof coatings. Each of these experiences damage in different ways, but the result is the same: a leak. Our goal is to come to your business and perform a thorough inspection to find all of the damage fast. The sooner we are able to locate the issues, the sooner we will be able to begin on the commercial roof repair. We will provide you with a free estimate and discuss with you our plan of action, which will depend on the type of existing material you have.

Modified Bitumen – Polymer-modified bitumen is a two-ply system that is typically fully adhered. It comes in SBS and APP. SBS is applied over adhesives or asphalt, while APP is heat-welded. Although it is a highly durable product with cool roofing options and great water resistance, it can be damaged by extremely large hailstones or other large debris. In this instance, we would cut away the damaged part and check the underlayment for mold or rot. We would replace any underlayment necessary and then fill the area with insulation and patch the spot.

EPDM – Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) is a synthetic rubber material that stands up very well to the elements. It comes in large sheets, sometimes 50 x 50, that cover more space with fewer seams. This makes it less likely to encounter tears or leaks, but it is still possible. If an issue does arise, commercial roof repair would require us to cut out the damaged spot. We would then fill the area and place a patch over it.

TPO – Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) comes in large rolls. It is typically either fully adhered using strong adhesives or mechanically fastened. The sheets are smaller than EPDM, so there are more seams and more opportunities for tears and damage. Because the seams are welded together, precise installation is key. Some commercial roofing contractors do not perform test welds before they begin work on the seams, so the weld may not be of a high quality every time. Like EPDM, the commercial roof repair process is fairly simple.

Tar and Gravel - One of the most traditional commercial roofing materials, any damage done to it is easily fixed. We can patch any punctures and resurface the area with new tar and gravel.

Metal – Metal has grown in popularity as technology has improved it. It can last for over 50 years with proper maintenance, but severe hail damage can cause the need for commercial roof repair. While many professionals might insist that hail damage is only cosmetic, those dents can wreak havoc on the surface. They give water an opportunity to pool and cause your metal to rust and weaken. Because most metal roofs come in panels, we can easily remove the damaged panel and replace it.

Roof Coatings
As an experienced commercial roofing contractor, we highly recommend roof coatings for any business. If your surface has been plagued with leaks and you are tired of commercial roof repair but not ready for replacement, roof coatings are the answer. They can be applied over your existing materials and instantly increase the lifespan by decades.

Because they have insulating properties and reflect UV rays away from the building, they keep your property cooler during the summer months.
